When life changes, you don’t have to lose yourself
Perhaps you’ve faced the end of a marriage, an empty house, or a parent gone? Or maybe you see a body, or a self, you no longer recognise after menopause and loss. After a lifetime of giving, you've reached the point where you no longer know who you are or what is yours. Each one is momentous and can leave you wondering who you even are anymore.
Does this sound like you? If that is where you find yourself, then you are in the right place.
My coaching helps women find their footing, their energy, and a renewed sense of who they are. That disorientation is not a weakness, and it is not permanent. It’s the space between an old life that has ended and a new one that hasn’t formed yet. My work is to walk that space with you — and to help you come out of it as someone you recognise and like.
How my coaching is different
As an accredited coach, doctoral researcher, and someone who has lived every one of these transitions myself — I help you do two things. First, rewrite the story you tell about yourself, because midlife so often breaks the old one and a new one hasn’t formed yet. Second, reclaim the energy that years of holding everything together have quietly drained. From there, we build a next chapter that genuinely fits the person you are now.
My research explores literary depictions of women's work, duty, and energy. I am not a therapist, and this is not wellness coaching. It is rigorous, practical, strategic thinking, in your corner — to help you understand what has happened, find your way back to yourself, to build and fully invest your energy into a life that is genuinely yours.
You arrive: exhausted, unsure who you are without the role that has ended, asking what it was all for.
You leave: clear about who you are independent of any role, certain of what you want next, and already building it.
How this works
Everything begins with a free thirty-minute conversation — no preparation, no commitment. I want to understand what you are navigating; you want to see who you would be working with.
From there, the one-to-one work moves through four stages. Each is a real shift, not an idea you nod along to.
One — Seeing it clearly. You arrive inside your situation, and it is happening to you. We step back and see it plainly, from the outside. That is not detachment — it is the start of being able to act.
Two — Understanding why. You come to see that the exhaustion and the loss of self were never a personal failing; they are the logical result of a life spent in service. Women describe this reframe as the most freeing part of the work.
Three — Choosing for yourself. You get clear on what you actually value and want — not what you were supposed to want — and begin making choices from there, rather than from duty or habit.
Four — Acting on it. Specific commitments, first steps, and the tools to hold steady when the old pull returns, because it will. You finish by writing your own charter: who you are, what you value, and what you have decided.
What you leave with
A clear understanding of why you arrived feeling lost — and why it was never your failing
Real clarity about your values and strengths, as specific, usable knowledge of what makes you feel most like yourself
A concrete picture of the life you actually want, and a realistic plan for the time and energy to build it
A written charter, in your own words, to return to whenever the old patterns reassert themselves
Work with me
There’s no single right way to start — only the right next step for you. Everything begins with a free, no-pressure conversation, and we choose together from there. All one-to-one packages are offered as a three- to four-month journey, because real change needs a little time and a steady hand.
Pivot Session — £175
Not ready to commit, but need a breakthrough? A single, focused 90-minute session to untangle what’s keeping you stuck and leave you with a clear next step. For some women this is all they need; for others it’s the beginning.
The Threshold — £325 / month, 3 months
This is for you if your world has just turned upside down — perhaps your relationship or marriage has ended, you’ve lost a parent, the children have gone, or several at once — and you barely recognise your own life. You’re overwhelmed, foggy, not sleeping, getting through the days on autopilot. Over three months we’ll steady the ground beneath you and quiet the overwhelm, and you’ll begin to feel like yourself again: calmer, clearer, sleeping better, and no longer defined by what happened to you.
The Reinvention — £475 / month, 3 months
This is for you if the worst is behind you — big practical decisions have been made. Perhaps you’ve finalised a divorce, your assets have been split, or children have left. Or maybe you’ve ended a career. In short, you feel adrift. You’ve survived but now you don’t know who you are or what you actually want, and you keep waiting to feel like yourself again. Together we’ll rewrite the story you tell about yourself and reclaim your energy, until you have a clear, exciting picture of your next chapter and a concrete plan you’re already acting on — moving from ‘this happened to me’ to ‘this is who I’m becoming and choosing to be’
The Becoming — £625 / month, 4 months
This is for you if you’re ready to rebuild your life after divorce, an empty nest, the loss of a partner or parent, or a career that no longer fits — and you want serious support to do it properly. My deepest work: over four months we’ll rewrite your story, reclaim your energy, envision and design a whole new chapter, with me beside you between sessions. You won’t just recover — you’ll come out more yourself than you’ve been in years, with a clear direction and the confidence to live it.
Not sure which is right? Book a clarity call and we’ll find your starting point together.
FAQ
Is this therapy? No. Coaching and therapy are different things. I am not a therapist and do not work as one. Unlike therapists who dig deeply into past experiences and emotions, we will be focusing on the present and future, aiming to gain insights and clarity to inform your choices and make practical decisions. If you are experiencing significant mental health difficulties, I will always be honest with you about whether coaching is the right support.
What happens in a discovery call? We talk for thirty minutes — no agenda, no sales pitch. You tell me what you're navigating. I tell you how I work. We both decide whether it makes sense to go further.
How do I know if I'm ready for coaching? If you're asking that question, you probably are. Coaching works best when you're willing to think honestly rather than just feel heard.
Do you offer in-person sessions? All sessions are online. This means we can work together wherever you are in the UK.
